Recently approved in Canada, there is now a local anaesthetic (“freezing”) reversal drug that accelerates the return to normal sensation and function(in particular, speaking and eating). This is especially welcome to the lower jaw because with some, the freezing effect can last for some hours after the procedure. Oraverse is injected exactly the same way as the original anaesthetic was given, but is delivered at the end f the appointment.

For a minimal fee of $25 (not reimbursed by insurance plans),the effect typically starts to be felt within 20 minutes and the rest of the freezing is gone within an hour.
